The VIGILANT project was recently featured at GLOBSEC 2024, where researchers Brendan Spillane and Gary Munnelly delivered a live demonstration of the project platform to an international audience. The demo highlighted how VIGILANT’s advanced tools can provide critical support to police authorities in tackling criminal online content.
VIGILANT is built on an ethical-by-design approach, empowering law enforcement agencies with cutting-edge technology to detect, monitor, and investigate illegal online activities. The project focuses on improving the detection and analysis of disinformation linked to criminal activities, equipping police with the tools, training, and knowledge to enhance their effectiveness.
Funded by the European Research Executive Agency under the Horizon Europe scheme, VIGILANT also fosters a network for knowledge-sharing among police forces across Europe.
