Professor Caroline Brophy is leading the way in educating a new generation of students. A new MSc course in Statistics and Sustainability at Trinity College Dublin is launching in September 2023 and Professor Brophy pioneered its development.
Speaking about the MSc in Statistics and Sustainability, Professor Brophy highlights how it brings together two big passions in her career to date: “As a Professor in Statistics I am deeply enthusiastic about educating the next generation of statisticians, and, in my research work, I am passionate about developing statistical methods for addressing sustainability and global change challenges in the face of the biodiversity and climate crises. I believe that graduates from this new MSc course are much needed across many sectors as they will have both the statistical skills and the sustainability knowledge to develop much needed environmental solutions.
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming the first cohort of students on the MSc programme in the School of Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity College Dublin in September 2023.”
