ADAPT’s former Director, Professor Vinny Wade, recently delivered a timely talk on “The Increasing Role of Chatbots and Generative AI in Next Generation Digital Transformation”. The talk formed part of the Alan Turing Institute AI UK Fringe Festival and was hosted by Queen’s University Belfast.
During his presentation, Professor Wade explored the rapidly evolving field of Generative AI (GenAI) and how this cutting-edge technology is reshaping the landscape of digital interaction and the implications it holds for the future of education and knowledge-based work.
Drawing from his extensive research experience, Professor Wade highlighted how GenAI has already begun to alter teaching methodologies and learning assessments. His talk also addressed the exciting opportunities the GenAI presents for personalised learning experiences, as well as the challenges involved in implementing these advanced technologies.
