Prof Andy Way (Dublin City University, co-founder of ADAPT) has been invited to attend the 2nd International Conference on Language Technologies for All (LT4ALL 2025), which will take place at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris from February 24th to 26th, 2025. The prestigious event will bring together global experts to discuss advancements in language technologies, with a particular focus on empowering linguistic communities.
LT4ALL 2025 is organised by the International Language Resources Association (ELRA) and its Special Interest Group on Under-resourced Languages (SIGUL), a joint initiative of ELRA and the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA), in collaboration with UNESCO. The conference aims to further the development of language technologies, aligning with the theme “Advancing Humanism through Language Technologies.” LT4ALL 2025 is held as part of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022-2032) and will also commemorate the Silver Jubilee of International Mother Language Day.
Prof Way’s participation in the conference is a testament to his significant contributions to language technology research. He has been included on the International Honorary Advisory Committee for LT4ALL 2025, recognising his expertise and leadership in the field and coordination of the European Language Equality project. The project’s outcomes have been widely recognised, culminating in the publication of an open-access book, which has already garnered over 120,000 accesses. The book, available through Springer, serves as a vital resource in the field of digital language technology.
