Next week, Precision ALS, a project led by the ADAPT Centre and FutureNeuro, will be in Stockholm, Sweden, hosting a meeting focused on Precision ALS ahead of the ENCALS meeting. The event, hosted by Professor Orla Hardiman—ADAPT academic, Professor of Neurology, Head of the Academic Unit of Neurology at Trinity College Dublin, and Consultant Neurologist at Beaumont Hospital—will take place at the Karolinska Institutet on the afternoon of Sunday, June 16th. Additionally, there will be a session on prediction modelling on the morning of Monday, June 17th.
The agenda for the Precision ALS meeting includes a brief overview of the program and structure by Prof. Orla Hardiman. The team will present their work on extant data, platform development, prospective data collection, patient journeys, and outcome measures. Dr. Robert Ross (ADAPT, TU Dublin) will provide an update on data analytics and machine learning. Other topics of discussion include biomarkers and the C9orf72 study. A news piece summarising the event will be posted in the weeks following the meeting.
