ML Dublin, the monthly machine learning meetup group, commemorates its eighth anniversary this month with an event in Trinity College Dublin sponsored by Quantexa. The event will see one of the first speakers at the 2016 launch return to contribute to this event. Dr Chris Hokamp, Principal Scientist at Quantexa, will introduce members of two teams focused on applied machine learning and AI at Quantexa; the analytical innovation team, which focuses on graph ML, and the NLP team focused on natural language processing.
Established by the SFI ADAPT Centre in January 2016, this event brings together professionals and students in the field of machine learning for engaging presentations and networking opportunities. People can register for the event here: https://www.meetup.com/machine-learning-dublin/events/298651403/
At the 2016 launch in Dogpatch Labs, presenters included Alexander O’Connor discussing “Word Embeddings: Journey to Low Dimensional Word Vector Space,” Chris Hokamp on “Exploring Architectures for doing NLP with Neural networks”, and Joachim Wagner emphasising “The Importance of Optimising Meta-Parameters.”
ML Dublin MeetUps occur on the last Monday of every month and are open to professionals and students passionate about machine learning. These gatherings feature presentations by expert guest speakers on diverse topics, offering an excellent opportunity for networking with like-minded individuals, researchers, and engineers from both industry and academia.
