Dublin City University (DCU) was recently placed at No. 2 in the global institutional rankings for research in translation by Scholar GPS. Researchers in DCU ADAPT had a large contribution in achieving this amazing performance. Their No. 2 ranking places DCU ahead of other notable institutions including Stanford University, Johns Hopkins and UC Berkeley.
The global rankings for individual impact in the field of translation were also recently published. Two ADAPT researchers, Professor Andy Way and Dr Joss Moorkens ranked 5th and 16th, respectively, out of 62,981 in the global rankings. This incredible achievement is a testament to their continual hard work and influential research in the field of translation, including machine translation, along with colleagues in SALIS and the School of Computing within DCU.
This Scholar GPS ranking is based on 45,004 publications and 199,288 citations over the past 5 years (up to 2022). The Scholar GPS algorithms identify and analyse the individual impact of over 200 million books, book chapters, journal articles, conference papers, and patents associated with over 3 billion citations.
