Akara Robotics has been nominated for the Europa Tech Startup Awards in the ‘Hottest HealthTech Startup’ category. The team is now looking for the public to vote for them so they can fend off competition from five other startup companies in their category. Closing date for votes is 30th October 2023.
Speaking about the nomination, Dr Conor McGinn, CEO of Akara Robotics, said: “This recognition is a testament to our relentless commitment to modernising public health and leveraging cutting-edge technology to keep healthcare workers and patients safe. At Akara, we help hospitals improve operational efficiency through robotic automation that reduces clinical downtime and increases staff productivity.”
Akara Robotics, a spin-out from Trinity College Dublin, is now based at The Digital Hub in Dublin’s Liberties. Akara has grown over the last few years after emerging from years of research from Trinity’s School of Engineering and the SFI ADAPT Centre.
