ADAPT Researcher Oisin Carroll (Trinity College Dublin) was recently awarded “Best Serious Game” in the Business category at the 2023 GALA Serious Games Conference for his innovative new online game. Titled Travle, the game helps people learn geography by creating routes from A to B in a format similar to the popular word game, Wordle.
The GALA conference took place from the 29th Nov to 1st December in Dublin and was organised by the Serious Games Society in collaboration with TU Dublin’s Faculty of Computer Science and Digital Media. The objective of the conference is to provide an international forum for the dissemination and exchange of scientific information on theoretical, technical, and applied areas of serious games.
