The ADAPT Centre has been announced as a finalist for this year’s Technology Ireland Industry Award for a collaborative project with Huawei Technologies Ireland. The project focuses on the integration of personalised advertisements in video streams. The solution is a novel approach to online advertising providing companies with the ability to deliver personalised and highly targeted advertising and product placement to the user.
The ADAPT Centre is one of five finalists in the category for ‘Outstanding Academic Achievement of the Year’. The researchers will present to an independent panel of judges comprised of leaders and founders of Irish software and digital companies.
The 26th Technology Ireland Industry Awards celebrate those companies who have achieved exceptional success, developed innovative technologies and partnerships and achieved significant sales results over the past year.
The event has gained an exceptional reputation as one of the most coveted Award ceremonies within the technology sector both in Ireland and overseas, with over 500 leading influencers and decision makers in the digital & software technology sector in attendance.
Winners will be announced at the annual gala dinner event on the 23rd November 2018 in Dublin’s Mansion House.
The award categories include: Digital Technology Company of the Year; Emerging Company of the Year; Outstanding Achievement in International Growth; Technology Innovation of the Year; Digital Technology Services Project of the Year; #WomenInTech Company Initiative of the Year; Multinational Corporation Initiative of the Year; Excellence in Talent Development; and Outstanding Academic Achievement of the Year.
