A research paper titled ‘Prototyping an End-User User Interface for the Solid Application Interoperability Specification under GDPR’ has been shortlisted for a Best Paper award at the leading Extended Semantic Web Conference (ESWC) taking place in Crete. The paper was authored by Hadrien Bailly, Anoop Papanna and Dr Rob Brennan, and will be presented in the main conference between May 30th and June 1st.. ESWC is a major venue for discussing the latest scientific results and technology innovations around knowledge graphs and semantic technologies.
Speaking about the research, Dr Rob Brennan, Assistant Professor at UCD, said: “Solid is a personal data sovereignty framework that enables web users to maintain control of their own data when sharing it with services, thus increasing privacy and data protection.”
The winners will be announced at the closing ceremony of the conference.
