an art exhibition featuring famous artworks on a metal grid wall. The display includes reproductions of Van Gogh's Starry Night, Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, Andy Warhol's Campbell's Soup Cans, and Jeff Koons' Balloon Dog, among others. There is a sign at the top that reads "ART or AI? Museum of Very Modern Art," inviting viewers to guess whether the artworks were created by artificial intelligence or by humans. A QR code and instructions for participation are visible on the left side, along with small labels identifying each piece. The exhibition is part of the #DiscussAI initiative, exploring the intersection of art and AI.

On Friday, September 20th, ADAPT’s #DiscussAI programme showcased the interactive workshop ‘Art or AI?’ at the Museum of Very Modern Art during Culture Night on DCU’s St. Patrick’s Campus. Attendees were challenged to distinguish between human-created artworks and AI-generated pieces from tools like DALL-E and Midjourney. The event explored AI’s impact on creativity, offering a fun and thought-provoking experience for families and art enthusiasts alike.

Held from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Cregan Library, the event was open to all ages 8+, blending technology with art in an engaging, hands-on format. The night also featured circus performances, live music, art workshops, and more, creating a dynamic cultural experience on campus. All events were drop-in, adding to the event’s accessibility and appeal.
