January, 2022: The ADAPT SFI Research Centre is delighted to congratulate the 2022 winners of the 58th BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition (BTYSTE) for their hard-work and dedication to their inventive projects. BTYSTE is an Irish annual students’ science competition that celebrates and showcases innovative science and technology projects from youth aged 12 – 19 years across the island of Ireland.
This year, over 1,000 students have shared their original discoveries with the BTYSTE judges, virtually showcasing their projects to a global audience. The 90+ judges came together to virtually assess the students as they pitched their projects and research in all areas of science and technology.
Commenting on the high quality of this year’s projects, Prof Vincent Wade, ADAPT Director and a member of the BTYSTE judging panel said “the standard across this year’s competition was outstanding and showed the depth and strength of young Irish scientific talent. From all age groups and scientific areas of the competition, the students demonstrated a tremendous commitment, skill and ingenuity. A massive congratulations to all of them”.
