Trinity Monday took place this week and during the traditional Trinity Monday ceremony, Dr. Linda Doyle, the Provost of Trinity College Dublin, formally announced at the Public Theatre in Front Square the names of the newly appointed Trinity Fellows and Scholars. Among the distinguished recipients was Professor Caroline Brophy, an academic from ADAPT and the School of Computer Science and Statistics, marking a notable achievement. Prof. Brophy is also Lead Coordinator of LegumeLegacy, a postdoctoral network aiming to optimise multiple benefits of grass, legume and herb mixtures in crop rotations to reduce the negative environmental impacts of modern agriculture.
Additionally recognised from SCSS were Professor Andrew Butterfield and Professor Meriel Huggard.
The Provost expressed her congratulations to the newly elected individuals, underscoring the significance of their accomplishments at the event:
