ADAPT researchers have been successful in winning Framework Programme funding since FP3. In Horizon 2020 ADAPT won projects across all three pillars; Excellent Science, Industrial Leadership and Societal Challenges, as well as projects in cross-cutting strands. The diversity of the portfolio of European projects across all pillars is a core part of the Centre’s strategy, allowing researchers to win funding from a variety of instruments, each with a different scientific, economic or societal focus.
ADAPT is well aligned, both in core and applied research, with the 9th EU Framework Programme, Horizon Europe, which will run from 2021 – 2027, and will again target activity across the three pillars of Excellent Science, Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness, and Innovation Europe as well as projects in cross-cutting widening strands.
