Dr. Malika Bendechache is an Assistant Professor at UoG and an ADAPT collaborator working on the development and validation of new analytics, metrics, and tools to support automated Data Governance and AI Governance.
Her background and research interests span the areas of Big data Analytics, Data Governance, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Privacy and Ethics, Blockchain & Distributed Ledger Technology and Security.
Previously, she has held the position of Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Irish Institute of Digital Business (IIDB, dotLab) at DCU Business School. Her work was part of the RECAP Horizon 2020 project that focused on developing the next generation of Cloud/Edge/Fog Computing through Optimisation, Automation, and Simulation (simulation of large-scale Cloud and Edge-/Fog- Computing environments).
She obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science at Insight Centre for Data Analytics, UCD. Her Ph.D. topic was ‘Study of Distributed Dynamic Clustering Framework for Spatial Data Mining’: she proposed and developed a new distributed Data Mining framework to analyse Big Data and produce accurate results within reasonable response times.
