Mairéad is a PhD student with the ERC-funded NovelEco project. Prior to joining the team, Mairéad completed a postgraduate MSc. in Development Practice with Trinity College Dublin and an undergraduate BSc. (Hons) in Environmental and Geographical Sciences with Technological University of Shannon. Mairéad works part-time as a Research Assistant in the School of Natural Sciences in TCD and a Work Package Lead for TUS. She also volunteers as the ADAPT PhD representative where she sits on the Executive Committee of the ADAPT Centre to engage with management to influence decision-making, increase transparency and improve the communication flow between ADAPT and its research cohort. Mairéad’s research investigates the resilience of urban environments through a social-ecological-technological lens incorporating co-design methods.
