Eamonn Sullivan

PhD Researcher

Email Address: [email protected]

Eamonn’s PhD project, a comparative between the taxi industries in Dublin and London, explores the impact that algorithmic management has on workers, and it examines how governance structures affect the degrees of precarity, if any, that these workers experience. Eamonn is collaborating with Worker info Exchange, a London based “non-profit organisation dedicated to helping workers access and gain insight from data collected from them at work.” He is also working with taxi industry researchers who have previously worked as drivers on digital taxi platforms in European cities. Eamonn, himself a taxi driver for over twenty years, having successfully applied for an IRC grant, is now a 2024 Research Ireland Awardee. The first two years of Eamonn’s research were funded by ADAPT, where he won a scholarship to study for an MLitt under Professor Aphra Kerr and Dr Ciara Bracken Roche.
