Dr. Muhammad Salman Pathan is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow on the MCSA ELITE-S Programme under the supervision of Dr. Soumyabrata Dev. Dr. Pathan is a researcher in the field of Machine Learning, Information Security and Health Informatics. Recently he has been working on the analysis of time series data to study different data patterns so that the actual root cause behind the occurrence of any critical event can be understood in order to predict the onset. During this fellowship, he will be working to develop machine-learning based models that can perform accurate and timely predictions of critical events using historical time series data for different domains. His work focuses on three diverse applications i.e. atmospheric study, optical communications and medical analytics.
