The Digital Single Market envisages increasing Europe’s competitiveness across a wide range of industrial and service sectors in key ICT domains. The EU-funded StandICT.eu 2023 project, carried out through 10 Open Calls to financially support European specialists in the context of international Standards Developing Organisations Working Groups, will aim at creating a standardisation ecosystem where the EU’s priorities and expertise are taken into account to enhance Europe’s overall competitiveness. The project will set-up an ICT Standardisation Observatory to achieve an exhaustive mapping of the global standards arena, by reinforcing EU presence in the international scene through maximising synergies with ongoing programmes. The project will also contribute to shaping ‘the next generation of European Standards experts’ through education initiatives and training.
