Researchers from the ADAPT Centre TRANSMIXR project played key roles in two workshops held at ACM IMX 2024, held in Stockholm.
The first, Video for Immersive Experiences (Video4IMX), was co-organised by TRANSMIXR investigators Lyndon Nixon (MODUL Technology GmbH), Vasileios Mezaris, and Stefanos Vrochidis (CERTH-ITI, XRECO project). It featured six paper presentations and two keynote talks, exploring advances in video metadata creation and management for immersive experiences, as well as techniques for adapting video for such applications.
The second, Interaction and Storytelling with(in) Immersive Media (ISIM), was led by TRANSMIXR’s Niall Murray, Conor Keighrey (Technological University of the Shannon), and Pablo Cesar (CWI, TU Delft) alongside collaborators from other EU projects. This workshop included seven paper presentations and a unique “EU Projects” session chaired by Mario Montagud, showcasing the different collaborative projects.
Both workshops were highly interactive, with over 30 participants each, fostering vibrant discussions on cutting-edge research.
