ADAPT Research Ireland Centre for AI Driven Digital Content Technology to host three major international conferences in October 2025
Dublin, 6th November 2024: October 2025 is set to be a significant month for Ireland’s research and technology sector, with three prestigious multimedia conferences scheduled to take place in the capital. The conferences will be hosted by ADAPT academics who are playing a central role in attracting major international conferences to Ireland, helping to reinforce the country’s reputation in cutting-edge multimedia and AI research.
ACM Multimedia 2025
The 33rd Annual ACM Multimedia Conference, recognised globally as the premier event for multimedia research, will take place from 27th to 31st October 2025. The 2025 event was announced by ADAPT’s Deputy Director, Professor Cathal Gurrin, and this A*-rated conference is expected to welcome over 2,000 attendees and more than 1,000 research submissions. It offers an opportunity for researchers, professionals, and students to connect and exchange knowledge in Dublin. Content-Based Multimedia Indexing (CBMI) Conference 2025
Another event will be the Content-Based Multimedia Indexing (CBMI) Conference 2025, organised by Assistant Professor Liting Zhou of ADAPT at DCU. CBMI brings together the latest research in content indexing, retrieval, and analysis, critical areas in today’s data-driven world. MediaEval 2025
Finally, MediaEval 2025, a workshop dedicated to exploring innovative multimedia evaluation and benchmark techniques will also take place in Dublin on the 25th and 26th of October. Organised by Professor Gareth Jones of ADAPT at DCU MediaEval provides a platform for those focused on multimedia retrieval, content analysis, and addressing evolving demands in media.
