ADAPT PhD Graduate, Meghan Dowling, has been selected as a finalist in this year’s Women in AI Ambassador of the Year Award, sponsored by Women in AI Ireland. This prestigious recognition celebrates the contributions of women who are making significant strides in the field of artificial intelligence.
Meghan Dowling, an ADAPT Centre alumna and PhD graduate in Computational Speech and Language Science (2020), is among ten finalists honoured for her impactful work at T-Pro, where she specialises in machine translation and speech recognition technologies that support healthcare and promote linguistic diversity. Under the guidance of her supervisor, Professor Andy Way, Dowling completed her PhD with the ADAPT Centre, a global leader in AI-driven digital content technology.
Joining her in this impressive lineup are three other accomplished women: Adebola Olomo, CEO of Deefrent Media Agency; Ellen Gunning, Founder and CEO of Mettacomms; and Emerald De Leeuw-Goggin, co-founder of Women in AI Governance™.
