Dr. Esther Murphy, an academic from ADAPT and the School of Engineering at Trinity College Dublin, spoke about the training undertaken with her project DigiAcademy. She was joined by James Delaney, a teacher at DigiAcademy. Eibhlìn McNamara from Spun Out also joined us to talk about available resources.

Daragh Kennedy, National Safeguarding Manager, Irish Wheelchair Association, was also joined in discussion by Detective Superintendent Ian Lackey from An Garda Síochána, who spoke about cyber-crime prevention and prosecution. Dean Maloney from Rehabcare elaborated on support and education initiatives.

DigiAcademy is an ADAPT-supported Trinity College Dublin start-up company with a vision to transform the landscape for individuals with intellectual disabilities. DigiAcademy presents an accessible digital skills elearning video platform co-created with and for people with accessibility needs to address the challenge of digital literacy and access to ensure better health, well-being and inclusion outcomes.
