AI MapIt is an SFI ADAPT Centre spinout company that uses an innovative AI solution for discovery, detection and GPS mapping of stationary objects. The company stands as a cutting-edge computer vision platform designed to enable Operators of Roadside Infrastructure to carry out automated desktop surveys of their vast networks of assets and improve their network management operations efficiency and lower their carbon footprint in doing so. The system is capable of recognising and assigning precise GPS coordinates to any asset in street-level imagery allowing condition monitoring to be carried out automatically over time. Operating at an impressive speed of 200 km per hour, the technology has been proven to achieve asset detection with 95% recall and GPS grade location accuracy from standard imagery.
AI Mapit was recently listed as one of the Top 100 Most Ambitious Companies in Ireland for 2024 by Spark Crowdfunding. CTO Matej Ulicny and commercial advisor Leo Peyton are also driving this spin out venture with Julie Connelly.
