An innovative collaboration between the SFI ADAPT Centre and Huawei has been shortlisted for the 2023 Technology Ireland Awards in the Outstanding Academic Achievement category. The research was based in natural language processing. Other finalists in the category include Immersive Software Engineering – University of Limerick, and TRAINRDM: Open Data for Europe – National College of Ireland. The winners will be announced at the Technology Ireland Awards ceremony on 17 November in the Round Room at the Mansion House, Dublin.
The next stage of the awards will see the shortlisted entries present to 10 independent judging panels, composed of CEOs and founders of successful Irish technology companies, and leaders within the technology sector.

The award categories include: Digital Technology Company of the Year; Emerging Company of the Year; Outstanding Achievement in International Growth; Technology Innovation of the Year; Digital Technology Services Project of the Year; Tech 4 Good – Product/ Service Award; Tech 4 Good – Community Award; Women in Tech Company Initiative of the Year; Excellence in Talent Development Award; Outstanding Academic Achievement of the Year.
The Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of indigenous Irish-owned companies and multinationals and celebrate the remarkable contributions of the sector to society, underscoring its vital role in positioning Ireland as a trusted global partner and key player in the ever-evolving technological landscape.
