Dr. Vuong Ngo joins us as a research fellow in information retrieval of Beyond 2020 project from August 2020 where he has developed the exploratory searching models/programs for this exciting and challenging digital re-imagining of Irish history across the past 7 centuries. Vuong received a B.E, M.E and PhD degrees in Computer Science from HCMC University of Technology in 2004, 2007 and 2013 respectively. He has also finished postdoctoral program in information retrieval at University of Bozen/Bolzano (UniBz) from 2014 to 2015. Previously, Dr. Vuong held also positions as a CIO, Head of Department and Lecturer in information technology at Vietnam Universities from 2007 to 2017. From July 2017 to August 2020, he was a scientist researcher in data mining at School of Computer Science, UCD. His research interests include information retrieval, data mining, sentiment analysis, graph matching and data warehouse.
