In November 2022, ADAPT Director Prof. Dave Lewis, along with his colleague ADAPT Researcher Cathy Roche (Trinity College Dublin), took part in the Fifth Edition of the Paris Peace Forum (PPF). This global governance platform was held across two days at Palais Brongniart and convened heads of State, leaders of international organisations and companies and civil society organisations from the Global South and North, to improve global cooperation.
Last year’s theme of Riding Out the Multicrisis explored how to mitigate multiple shocks by fostering a renewed cooperative world order. The ADAPT participants were involved in two stimulating roundtable discussions on Artificial Intelligence during the event. The discussions focussed on global perspectives on managing AI risk and at ways to make AI work for international development.
