This month’s ADAPT Radio: AI in Action focuses on the next generation of digital technologies with Prof. Rozenn Dahyot, Professor of Computer Science at Maynooth University and PI in the ADAPT Centre. Prof. Dahyot’s research interests lie in pattern analysis and machine intelligence with signal processing applications, for example, remote sensing, computer vision and computer graphics.
In this episode, Prof. Dahyot discusses an exciting new project with the Defense Forces in Ireland. This project, that she recently received funding for, aims to improve the efficiency of the Defense Forces’ aircraft hangars by introducing intelligent sensors, and potentially robotics, which will improve how quickly aircraft can be deployed and help prevent collisions. As well as this, Prof. Dahyot discusses the applications of next-generation digital technology, such as Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR & VR), among others.
ADAPT Radio: AI in Action is ADAPT’s newest podcast series highlighting pioneering ADAPT AI research that is empowering individuals, businesses and society to get the most from AI-Driven Digital Media Technology. ADAPT Radio is available on SoundCloud, iTunes, Spotify, and Google Podcasts.
